The Global Youth Action Fellowship (GYAF) is a practical, implementation‑focused leadership program for young people ready to move from learning to accountable community action.
A fellowship built for practical implementation.
GYAF is not a traditional leadership program. It is a hybrid, community‑based fellowship designed for young people who want to design, lead and implement real projects that create measurable change.
Over six weeks, participants move through structured training, stakeholder engagement, field coordination and local action. Each fellow leaves with a completed project, a documented impact report and a global network of collaborators.
Two Phases of Practical Leadership
From recruitment to implementation – a structured pathway for young leaders.
Phase 1: Pre-Fellowship
4 Weeks – Foundation & Readiness
The Pre-Fellowship is an intensive onboarding phase designed to prepare participants for the full fellowship experience. Fellows build their professional presence, identify community challenges, and develop project ideas.
- Professional profile development (LinkedIn, CV, portfolio)
- Community project identification and proposal submission
- Network building with global peers and mentors
- Leadership mindset and community engagement readiness
Phase 2: Fellowship
6 Weeks – Implementation & Impact
The six-week Fellowship is where ideas become action. Participants refine their projects, engage stakeholders, implement their initiatives, and document measurable impact.
- Project design, Theory of Change, and stakeholder mapping
- Community needs validation and implementation planning
- Field implementation, monitoring, and adaptation
- Impact reporting, documentation, and certification
Recruitment & Eligibility
GYAF is open to all backgrounds – beginners, emerging leaders, and experienced practitioners.
Who Can Apply
- Young leaders, students, activists, and grassroots workers (18–34 years)
- No prior fellowship experience required – all backgrounds welcome
- Commitment to community action and social impact
- Available for 4-week Pre-Fellowship + 6-week Fellowship (hybrid format)
- Passionate about health, education, climate, gender, governance, disability inclusion, technology, or entrepreneurship

Become a Facilitator
Share your expertise, guide implementation, and join a global network of practitioners.
We are seeking experienced professionals in health, education, advocacy, climate, and community development. Facilitators commit to one week of virtual engagement (2-3 hours/day, 3 days) and receive international recognition, networking, Global Reference Letter + Certificate, and possible compensation.

GYAF invites applicants from all regions, disciplines, and backgrounds. No prior fellowship experience required.
