Monrovia, Liberia – Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection-2021
Minister Alice Johnson Howard, Former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection of Liberia, praised our menstrual health solution as essential for Liberia and noted women have special needs. She called on the Government of Liberia and partners to support and scale our intervention across the country.
2019–2020: Planting the Seeds
YAGEES + PPAL Partnership
Partnered with Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia to deliver free family planning services, all methods, every 3 months to slum communities. Reached about 1,000+ women and girls with contraception and education.
Kick Off the Dialogue on Menstrual Health
Collaborated with Real Relief ASPs and YAGEES Initiative on a campaign that engaged 2,000+ young men, boys, girls and adolescents in open conversations about menstruation - breaking stigma at the community level.
HIV & STI Prevention
With condoms and IEC materials from the National AIDS Control Program and PPAL, we distributed HIV/STI education, condoms and information to hundreds of youth in high‑risk communities.
DKT International Partnership
Joined YAGEES and DKT International Liberia to provide SRHR and contraceptive education to 200+ students across 11+ high schools.

2021–2022: Deepening Impact & Male Engagement
Engaging Men & Boys as Allies
Partnered with Urmonae Health Liberia to train and champion 20+ men and boys as allies for women and girls. These male champions now advocate for including Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in household budgets.

School Visits & Boys' Workshops
Visited multiple schools and conducted workshops with 50+ boys on positive masculinity, menstrual health awareness and how to support female peers and family members.
Stakeholder & Military Engagement
Engaged military personnel and community stakeholders in dialogue sessions to incorporate MHM into their wellness programs - expanding our reach beyond civilian populations.
International MHM Day Commemoration
Partnered with stakeholders to commemorate International Menstrual Hygiene Day, raising awareness and distributing products across multiple communities.
Internal Research & Evidence
Conducted internal study in rural Liberia to understand menstrual product gaps. Findings directly shaped our product design and distribution strategy.

From Movement to Institution
After successful "Kick Off the Dialogue on Menstrual Health" campaign with key stakeholders, we formally registered as a social enterprise and NGO.
10,000+ Products Distributed
Distributed over 10,000 antimicrobial reusable pads across Liberia through multiple nonprofit partnerships.
ECOWAS Recognition
Supplied menstrual products to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) team in Liberia — regional validation of our quality.
Timbuktoo HealthTech Cohort 1
Selected for Timbuktoo HealthTech Cohort 1 - the only Liberian institution. Pan-African visibility and investor readiness.

2025–2026: Continental & Global Expansion
East Africa Expansion – Rwanda
Opened office in Kigali, Rwanda - now serving East and West Africa simultaneously.

Successfully distributed 200+ menstrual products to schools and community groups in Rwanda — first distribution milestone in East Africa.
Timbuktoo Hub & FinTech Forum
Attended pitching sessions with UN guests and dignitaries visiting the Timbuktoo Hub. Participated in the FinTech Forum, showcasing our integrated approach.
Global South Expansion - India
Partnered with Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) to expand digital tools, educational content and SRHR resources to India.
